Citicorp Inc. and it affiliates (Citi) have upgraded the Citi Secure Email Center to provide enhanced security for recipients of encrypted Emails. These changes add a small number of passphrase questions, used for recovery in the event you have forgotten your chosen passphrase.

These Email recovery questions relate to certain data about you as an individual, otherwise known as Personally Identifiable Information (PII) which Citi will collect, maintain and keep secure.

Citi retains this information to the extent necessary for the management of your Citi account(s), relationships, or as contractually required, including any stages of contract formation. It will be stored securely for the maximum reasonable period as permitted by the law, to evidence our communications or any instructions we receive from you.

The Citi Secure Email system is a facility managed and controlled by Citi. All personal information is encrypted and accessible only to Citi employees, and used for the purposes of authenticating access to retrieve your passphrase only.

Citi maintains strict security standards and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your personal information to non-authorized persons. Our Secure Email Data Centers are located in the United States: By using this recovery service you agree to transfer personal information contained in those questions, to our data centres, via Citi or third party communications networks around the globe.
